ProvedHome started because we kept buying the wrong products. We read reviews that were either glowing marketing copy or angry rants — neither of which helped us make actual decisions. So we built something different.
Every product you see on this site goes through the same process: we dig through real user reports, cross-reference with lab testing data, and form an honest opinion. We buy the products ourselves whenever possible. We don't accept free samples from manufacturers.
How We Test
We pull data from multiple sources: Amazon verified reviews, Reddit discussions, forum threads, and third-party lab testing from organizations like Consumer Reports and Wirecutter. We look for patterns — not cherry-picked reviews, but aggregate owner sentiment over months of use.
We test in real conditions: actual homes, actual messes, actual frustration. If something breaks after three months, we tell you. If the cheap alternative is actually better, we say so.

Our reviewers are real people with real experience: a lab analyst with 12 years of testing appliances, a home editor raising three kids, a contractor who puts tools through real work, and a community researcher who aggregates feedback from thousands of real owners.
We don't hide behind anonymous "Editorial Team" labels. Every reviewer on this site has a name, a bio, and a track record.
